Don't trust the judges: We need competent and honest judges

Readers who are familiar with my attaching huge importance to the legal aspects of UKExit ("Brexit") may be surprised to find that I have now created a blog entitled "Don't trust the judges".

To me it is entirely logical to cast a (very) critical eye on the actions and judgements of judges, not least senior UK judges.

If law (including Public International Law, European Union Law and UK domestic Law) is important to UKExit ... and it is ... then it is all the more important to attempt to improve the quality of judges who make the decisions that affect (and sometimes harm) the lives of millions.

My concerns about judges, particularly senior UK judges, can be summarised by the term "cancerous", since there are five big C's that seem to me to cover the problems discernible in the behaviour and judgements of the United Kingdom's senior judiciary:

  • Careless
  • Clueless
  • Corrupt
  • Cowardly
  • Criminal
Future posts on this blog will explain my reasoning in reaching the conclusion that there are very serious problems with the United Kingdom's senior judiciary, not least the so-called "justices" of the United Kingdom Supreme Court.
